RULES AND EVALUATION CRITERIA FOR EACH COMPETITION

Memory Verse Competition (all grades)

  • Use the NIV Bible to study (Bring the bible you used to study for judges’ reference)

  • Minimum criteria for KG and above is to have at least one Psalms recited.

  • Adherence to Bible passages

  • Clarity

  • Prizes will for maximum number of recited memory verses in respective grades.

Singing Competition (all grades)

  • Voice clarity

  • Technique ( like Tune, tempo, rhythm etc.)

  • Stage presence (like appearance, confidence etc.) 

 

Coloring Competition (Nursery - Grade 2)

  • Use crayons or color pencils only

 

Story Telling Competition (Nursery - Grade 4)

  • Adherence to Bible passage

  • Application of story to today’s world

  • Clarity and audible

  • Audience contact

  • Voice power and projection

  • Some action while telling the story

 

Bible Reading Competition (Grade 4+)

  • Bible portions for reading will be given at the time of competition.

  • Time to find the portion

  • Clarity and audible

  • Voice power and projection

Elocution (Grade 5+)

  • Participants name should be provided at least a week before the competition date.

  • Topic: Provided 15min prior to the start of competition. Note: This rule will be finalized based on the number and grade range of participants.

 

Essay (Grade 5+)

  • 1 or 2 topics will be provided in advance and kids can select one of it.

    • Example:​

      • “Let the children come to me.”    (Matthew 19:14)

      • OR

      • “I am the vine; you are the branches” (John 15:5)

  • Participants name should be provided at least a week before the competition date.

  • Participants will be given 30 minutes to finish the essay during Sunday school time. Note: This rule will be finalized based on the number and grade range of participants.

  • Adherence to Bible passages

  • Application to today’s world
